Analytical Pharma Services

Vitas offers a full range of analytical services required during synthesis, testing and approval of drugs. Vitas provides these services to several well known Norwegian pharma companies but also to a few foreign companies.

Our services include:

• Assay

• Content uniformity

• Dissolution testing and Assay

• Stability indicating assays

• Characterization of impurities.

• Stability testing

• Uptake, stability and metabolism in cells
• Bioavailability in biofluids and tissue

• Vitas also develop, validate and document new custom analytical methods for customers within the pharmaceutical area along with tech transfer to the sponsors’ laboratory with on-site revalidation and support for the required period.

• The assays are usually performed with HPLC-UV but LC-FLD, LC-ED, LC-ELSD, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-FID or GC-MS  and ELISA are also used.

Formulation Design

In collaboration with Philip Hansen of CMC Consult in Denmark Vitas also offer formulation design.

Philip Hansen is the owner of CMC Consult Aps. He has more than 25 years experience from the pharmaceutical industry and from biotech - as scientist, as project manager and as line manager. His experiences cover both development of biosynthetic molecules (proteins, DNA) and small molecules, as well as development of a large spectrum of formulation and drug delivery technologies.
