Gulshan holds a Master’s degree in organic analytical chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo. Before she joined Vitas in 2001, she worked one year in Helse, Milijø og Sikkerhet and half a year in the Department of Nutrition, Medical Faculty, University of Oslo. During her 21 years at Vitas she has been working as both biomedical scientist and analytical scientist and has gained extensive knowledge in a variety of analytical techniques and complex matrixes. but especially analysis of dried blood spots. Her field of expertise is in vitamins, carotenoides, fatty acid, and metal analysis. She has published 3 papers during her Master degree in the field of determination of benzo[a]pyrene adducts in protein and DNA.
